This past weekend, dragged me all the way down to Berkeley in order to chill together and go to Anime Destiny. (The two are not at all mutually exclusive.) By con-going tradition, we had cosplays to run around in.
The project this time? Knites from 's comics by the same name. If you haven't done so already, GO READ ITNOW.
Very few people knew who we were, so almost the entire time we were referred to as "the people with the pretty kites," including when the MC introduced us at the masquerade (where we won a Best Performance award!). After that, quite a few people paid enough attention to come and ask about Knite. C:
After the con, some food, and recuperating, we went out in he middle of the night for a photoshoot. (Yes, in Berkeley. Bad idea, I know.) We ended up shooting on the roof of a friend's place (which I'm pretty sure we weren't supposed to be on). Despite the freezing cold and the wind and FFFFFF IT STARTED RAINING AROUND MIDNIGHT we got many shiny, shiny pictures! Bean and I might possibly be sick as a result. OH WELL.
Yes, those lights were battery powered. No, we didn't actually fly the kites for various reasons. [EDIT] I tried it the other day; with some modifications to the lights' setup most of the kites CAN fly with them. C: The noise in the photo is terrible because, ya know, we're out freezing on a roof in the middle of the night without a tripod and with only external flash, the Christmas lights, and light pollution as our light sources.
as Sen (NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED WITHOUT HER. GO BOTHER HER AND SHOWER HER WITH LOVE, GUYS.) as Lin , and Melinda as ourselves Ryan the SUPER BEAST PHOTOGRAPHER

Yes, yes they do break. Mine broke and if you can tell, one of the lightbulbs on my kite didn't light up LOL. Also, the circuit board was really flimsy so in the end, it stopped working hahaha. Good thing the lights were really cheap. XD
More people should do this!
